Credible websites and sources of nutritional education and fitness information, according to Professor Roberta H. Anding - Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children' Hospital [Nutrition Made Clear - the Great Courses - 2009]
[1] Dr. Berg suggested that ingestion of fat doesn't increase the creation of insulin (as does carbohydrates and protein). And he says there are no essential carbohydrates. In the Nutrition course, however, Prof. Anding says that carbohydrates are necessary for brain and muscle function. That's confusing!
[2] Does "30 minutes exercise daily" mean 'all at once', or spread throughout the day (ten minutes here, ten minutes there, etc.)?
[3] When testing one's blood sugar, how much time should elapse between ingestion of food and taking a measurement?
[4] Does a drop of 50 points in a week (to below 130) constitute success, or should I expect numbers to fluctuate more like a yo-yo over time?
[5] I think it's very interesting that he has a disclaimer at the beginning of the video that says "The content does not provide medical advice, professional diagnosis, opinion, treatment or services to you or to any other individual, and is not a substitute for medical or professional care. Do not use this information in place of a visit, consultation, or advice of your licensed healthcare provider." It almost makes you wonder what's the point of buying or reading his books! That's why I decided to make a web page with all the conflicting information I have been gathering on the internet. But how can I get consultation or advice about the Nutritarian Diet unless the licensed healthcare provider reviews the material?
